Why Nexus Day Surgery Centre

What Is Physiotherapy?

When a person suffers from an injury, illness, or disability, physiotherapy aids in regaining movement and function. In addition, physiotherapy is a medical speciality that evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and aims to prevent illness and impairment.

Our Services

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy focuses on accurate assessment and diagnosis of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system which include muscles, tendons, bones, joints, ligaments, discs, faulty posture and various biomechanical imbalances that may lead to aches/pains. For e.g., frozen shoulder, knee pain, back pain etc. We will form a treatment plan depending on a detailed clinical assessment which will involve the most efficient ways to manage your problem.

Chronic pain is defined as pain that lasts longer than 12 weeks after an injury and persists despite numerous medical and non-medical treatments. At Nexus Day Surgery Centre, which is an orthopaedic and rehabilitation centre, we take a comprehensive approach to your pain and use a multimodal strategy to treat all the areas impacting your pain.

Based on your area of complaint or your sport, we offer you both private lessons and a wide range of group programme. These classes will be conducted under the competent guidance of our best physiotherapist, reducing the possibility of injuries while simultaneously providing the optimum results. Group sessions are excellent for maintaining your fitness levels since they make working out much more entertaining, engaging, and participatory.

The term "women's health" refers to a wide range of musculoskeletal and pelvic floor problems that may develop before, during, or after pregnancy, as well as at any other time throughout a woman's lifetime. In accordance with the results of our evaluation, we would advise and instruct you in prenatal and postnatal exercises that would correct your posture, increase your strength and stability and also prepare you for the influx of musculoskeletal changes that are frequently experienced throughout pregnancy.

Workplace injuries that develop over time and are brought on by several risk factors acting simultaneously on different parts of your body or a joint can be referred to as musculoskeletal diseases. Depending on your issue and desired outcome, we will create a thorough prevention/intervention approach to increase your functional fitness. This is done in conjunction with the client, considering things like time availability, facilities, motivation, workload, and the customer's baseline fitness.

Sports physiotherapy is a specialized field of physiotherapy that addresses problems and sports injuries affecting individuals who play competitive or recreational sports. We at Nexus Day surgery Centre assist you to close the gap between your goals and your existing abilities or injury status. Our skilled physiotherapists will do a thorough evaluation and screening and create a Sports rehabilitation programme that is tailored to your injuries as well as how to avoid them in the future.

Rehabilitation prior to surgery, or "Prehab," is just as crucial as post-operative rehab. The strength and training of the muscles before the operation have a significant impact on the pace and effectiveness of the post-surgical rehabilitation. We support all types of surgical care, both before and after the procedure. The post-surgical rehabilitation programme consists of a progressive training regimen that, if you're an athlete, will eventually allow you to become functionally independent and participate in your sport.

A biomechanical analysis is a thorough evaluation of the full kinetic chain that provides a better knowledge of how the human body operates as opposed to just one particular part. At Nexus Day Surgery Centre, we'll conduct a biomechanical evaluation and screening that includes an examination of your general and sport-specific motions and activities, as well as your posture and gait. We will develop a rehabilitation programme that focuses on repairing the impairments and maximizing the function of the kinetic chain based on the dysfunction discovered during your assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We're here to help.

  • What is the use of Electrotherapy?

Electrotherapy is the use of electrical energy for medical purposes and to relieve the patient from pain. Electrical stimulation can directly block transmission of pain signals along nerves. It also stimulates natural painkiller in our body like endorphins. Here at our physiotherapy centre, we have electrotherapy services like IFT (Interferential therapy) & Ultrasound therapy.

  • The initial session at our physiotherapy centre will last 30 minutes and include a thorough assessment. The majority of follow-up appointments last 30-45 minutes.

  • Post-Operative Physiotherapy Rehabilitation, the end of a sportsman's career may feel imminent after an injury, but a physiotherapist can assist him by treating the condition and allowing him to resume his career. Consequently, a sportsperson needs to communicate with a sports physiotherapist. As an illustration, an anterior cruciate ligament injury is treated surgically, but a sportsperson can return to their respective sports after several physiotherapy sessions under physiotherapy guidance.

  • Physical therapists occasionally encourage patients to go beyond their perceived capabilities by pushing them just a little bit over their comfort zone or limit. Physical therapists work with patients to conduct various examinations while attempting to see situations objectively.   In the end, our goal is to help people reach a position where they can independently do all their day-to-day activities without any discomfort. Also, we encourage independence so that they are not dependent on us, drugs, or other therapies.
